We finally did it. We cut his curly mullet. :,(
Why was this so hard?! You would have thought I was cutting one of his arms off.
This.was.tough. It seems crazy now that I got all worked up and anxious about it. I guess I felt like it was a step into man-hood...( well toddler -hood ;) ) . I was scared of my sweet baby looking like a big boy. BUT, we did it. Now I am so glad we did.
We didn't want it to be too traumatic of an experience, and we didn't know at all how he was going to handle it. We decided to let Aunt Kaylie and the family come over, hang out and have a hair cutting party. Daddy got his done. Momma got hers done. NOW it was B's turn. He did really good! Until you got around his ears and he didn't care for that too much. I'm sure having a big delicious tootsie pop the whole time helped out.
We didn't tell anyone he got his hair cut. We waited until everyone saw him at his birthday party :).
"OMG, did you cut his HAIR!?"
Yes, yes we did. No more BIlly Ray baby. He's a tiny man now.
I have known this beautifully talented sweet girl for a while now. Before I had B I called her one of my own kids. I still claim her today. It's really awesome to be able to stand back and watch someone grow. Grow as a person. Grow in their relationships. Grow in God. It's been an honor to watch Lauren do all those things. She is crazy beautiful, smart, funny, and just the sweetest. When she messaged me about a session I knew exactly what my vision for her would be. Free spirited and wild. Love how these images came together.
We even dragged her boyfriend Chase into the mix ;) . They are adorable <3.
Love ya LJ!
So, believe it or not I have never had the chance or opportunity to shoot bridal portraits. *GASP* I know right. It was definitely something I wanted to mark off my photography "bucket list".
So thankful I got the opportunity to with Carrie. Holy smokes she is smokin` hott. THAT DRESS. My jaw dropped when I saw that dress. WOW. Could I have been any luckier to have such an amazing first time ;) . I also love love LOVE when I can collaborate with clients to make our visions come together and create magic. We did just that. Congrats again Carrie and Sandy<3
Sunday was a great day! Weather was great. Church was great. Cowboys won AND I got to spend time with one of my favorite families. The Lafoy bunch. <3 Dillon needed some head shots for his job so I was more than happy to help with that :) . We went down town Fort Worth and had ourselves a good ol` time. Until my child got upset because he couldn't go run through the water in the square :/. Sorry kid momma didn't come prepared for that! On the brighter side we got some great shots and spent time walking around and taking downtown in. Love it down there.
WOOHOO! It is the time of year when you need family photos, senior photos, newborn, and everything in between. Mini sessions are a great (painless ;) ) way of getting it all done. 20 minutes, one location, and great memories captured. I even have a special Christmas themed mini coming up for my Paris, TX folks.
